Accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education
Del Mar Academy is accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education. This accreditation entails compliance of academic, sanitary and administrative standards, as well as following strict building codes. The Costa Rican Ministry of Education also requires accredited schools to cover, as a minimum, all Costa Rican Curriculum Program Standards and have a fully certified teaching staff.
IB World School
Del Mar Academy is an authorized IB World School that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program to students in grades 11 and 12. Blue Flag Award
Every year, Del Mar Academy participates in the Blue Flag Program. This program awards a highly respected and recognized national eco-label called the Blue Flag. Blue Flags are awarded to schools that meet strict criteria with regard to everything from water quality to environmental education programs.
We currently hold a 5 STARS BLUE FLAG, which is the highest distinction possible.
