Del Mar Academy was founded in September, 2007. Our campus, nestled within seven acres of lush tropical landscape, offers a warm, safe, and nurturing environment to children ranging from Toddler through 6th grade levels.  Each classroom is staffed by highly qualified teachers and assistants, and is equipped with age-appropriate materials and resources that promote maximum exploration by our students and the use of their senses.  Classes are designed to meet the changing needs of each child as an individual.

Core  subject areas, consisting of nutrition and health education, multicultural environments, the English and Spanish languages, music and movement, creative art, and natural science, together with the importance of community involvement, environmental preservation, and social awareness, encompass  the criterion of a Del Mar Academy education.     

  

Our Mission

The Del Mar Academy is an independent day school for Toddlers through sixth grade. We integrate the Montessori philosophy into our curriculum and use a dual-language immersion (bilingual) approach. We are unified and motivated by the concepts of our school motto: Knowledge, Ethics, Creativity, Ecology, and Leadership.

We are committed to combining academic excellence and the joy of learning with the experience of discovering the wonders of the natural world. Our education enables children to develop an ethical approach to all living things and to believe in their own power to make positive changes.
